Started in February 2002, Devil Woman Flags is an independent, family-owned business located in the Phoenix, Arizona area. When we say small, we mean hands-on, high-touch, and truly personal. Years ago, I (Barbara) began designing custom dune flags for friends and family whenever we packed up our rigs to ride out in the sand dunes.
Demand quickly grew across the local off-road community. Fellow riders loved the heavy-duty stitching and unique designs, and they insisted I start selling them publicly. Taking a leap of faith, I left my banking career, stayed home to raise our two boys (Ethan and Gavin), and dedicated my days to sewing long-lasting off-road whip flags. In the end, more and more people wanted flags for their own dunes, so custom was the only way to go.
The Evolution of Our Flags
Today, Ethan and Gavin are all grown up and work directly alongside me in the shop. My husband also joined the operation, managing our social channels and connecting with fellow enthusiasts online. What started at a kitchen table has evolved into a full-scale family workshop dedicated to creating the toughest whip flags in the southwest.
